Algebra II Math Class

Students in Algebra II have finished up learning new material and are now working on refining and ensuring they know the material that has been covered in this class. Rather than a one or two day traditional cumulative final, students will be showing their cumulative learning over the course of the next several weeks. Using a study guide with learning targets for each of our seven units, students are using class time to review using notes, IXL, Khan Academy, Illustrative Math problems, and meet with Mrs. Cook. Then, when they feel ready, they take the unit final for whichever one they are working on. In this way, students do not have the pressure to perform on a long one-time test over everything, but can work at a reasonable pace on the material that is most appealing on any given day. The topics they are ensuring they know are sequences and functions, polynomial and rational functions, complex numbers and rational exponents, exponential functions and equations, transformations of functions, trigonometric functions, and statistical inferences.
