About The Instructor

Mrs. Kharja Teed

Hello Summit Family!

If you’re reading this, I am guessing you would like to know a little more about your Summit P.E. teacher. Yay! Let’s get started 🙂

My full name is Kharj-Leah Denee Teed, but friends call me Kharja (Car-za-a). Like Rajah, the tiger from Aladdin, but a starting C sound. Anyways, I would love to tell you where my name originated, so please feel free to ask when we meet face to face. (I love the story) I have been happily married since July 2015 to Chris (see picture above). We  are both passionate about  lifting weights and staying active. We just added a new member to our family! Baby William Teed was born March 2019. We also have two black labs, Tank and Gunner, and a horse named CeCe.

Moving on to less personal facts, I am personal trainer when I am not teaching physical education, and I have been a trainer since 2011. I came from a small town in Indiana where I spent most of my school years learning from home. I attended a privet high school and soon attended Evangel University. The day of graduation, I took a teaching position with a local university. I taught on the college and career level for a little over three years. I enjoy personal training, but I love seeing students become inspired and passionate over their work in the class. Now that I am apart of the Summit Family, I hope to inspire and encourage everyone I come in contact with (not just students) to find their passion for living a more healthy lifestyle.

Thank you for taking the time to know more about me! I would love to know more about you, and your involvement with the Summit Family. Feel free to email me at kteed@thesummitprep.org
