Motivate students to produce writing that they truly care about polishing—and keep them writing at home! Students will craft an essay argument about how sports positively impacted or inspired them, plus explore what it means to be a good sport, on and off the field. Entering this essay contest gives teachers and students a
chance to each win $500!
The online resources also include a scaffolded essay planner sheet, a rubric, and a thought-provoking lesson.
DEADLINE: April 24, 2020
If you love playing sports and would like to enter into a writing contest to convince other to love sports, you would check out this website!
I would love to hear about all the fun everyone had over Spring Break! Were you able to go anywhere? What did you get to do at home since we had extra home time?
I would love to hear from you! Email me: firstname.lastname@example.org
The Teed family was able to drive to Indiana to see Mrs. Teed’s side of the family! We decided to cut our trip a little short and come home, but we are all feeling well and have had lots of fun at home. Especially, since we were able to bring one of my niece home with us! We have had time to catch up and hang out with Baby William!
I am excited to see how the next couple of weeks turn out! It is always a little hard to know what to expect when something new challenges us. We will rise above and be stronger from the knowledge we gain from these difficult times.
The next step for P.E. at the Summit will be coming soon! Until then, have a wonderful rest of your Break!
Dear Summit Family,
As many of you know or have guessed, this is my first full school year with the Summit Family. I was very privileged to meet most of the students last school year, and I am looking forward to meeting the rest on Thursday!
I haven’t been here very long, but I see some of the most valued aspects a teacher is looking for when joining a team. The faculty, staff, guardians, and students show a great deal of enthusiasm and devotion to the Summit’s vision (Inspire life-long learners). As a physical educator, my primary objective is to inspire students towards a healthy and active lifestyle. Physical Education is more than learning rules and winning. It should inform and guide students through a variety of different styles of physical activity, so they can see themselves enjoying being active the rest of their long lives.
I am so excited to start our journey together, and I can’t wait to hear about all the summer fun and activities everyone has experienced the past couple of months!
