Pipe Cleaner Tower Challenge

Second Grade had the challenge of building the tallest freestanding tower with only 15 pipe cleaners. 

We discussed the Engineering Design Process which includes, Identifying the problem, brainstorming, designing and reflecting. 

During their build there were some surprise twists:  they lost some resources and each member of their team could only use one hand, the company moved to another country and they were unable to speak the same language so they had to continue the task without any speaking.  Eventually “Business was Booming” and they had all of their resources to use!
