The Summit Preparatory School is a non-religious, private school that strives to provide a supportive academic environment to students in the Springfield, MO community – from Early Learners to K-12. As an independent school, our challenging and stimulating curriculum sparks the joy of learning in all of our students. Through hands-on, project-based learning and the integrated use of technology, students develop important skills, including critical thinking, creativity, curiosity, communication, collaboration, character, and citizenship.
In addition to our physical education and wellness curriculum, The Summit offers a variety of sports for our students as members of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA). Along with a healthy lifestyle, the goal of the student athletics programs at The Summit is to facilitate the development of essential reasoning and leadership skills that will serve student athletes in all aspects of life.
At The Summit, one of our strategic visions is the addition of a STEM Innovation Lab. Part maker space, part science lab, students of all ages will explore, experiment, and engage in deeper discovery through our science, technology, engineering, and math curriculum. We have a $50,000 match to launch our Innovation Lab from concept to reality. Your support brings us one step closer to our goal in moving forward with our first phase of construction in summer 2022.
