Fire Prevention Visit

This week is Fire Prevention Week. We investigated many fire safety rules and fire hazards in our homes.  Don’t be surprised if your child comes home and begins questioning your fire safety awareness!  Here are some things for you to discuss at home:

  1.  Have a working smoke alarm.  Check the batteries every six months.
  2. Have a family escape plan in case of a fire.
  3. Have a family meeting place outside the home,
  4. Practice stop, drop and roll.
  5. Search the house for fire hazards.

The Springfield Fire Department visited us to teach us about fire safety!
