Workshops Are Working!

Now that routines and procedures are taking hold, we’ve been busy reviewing and embracing new learning.  Math and Writers’ Workshops are going well.  We’re just about ready for our first assessment in math.  It will cover place value, number forms, comparing, and ordering numbers.  The students are currently participating in Writing Boot Camp, but personal narratives are just around the corner.  We’re working through the structure of the Readers’ Workshop.  It shouldn’t be too long before rotations are standard procedure.  As always, this group of second graders is sensational!
