Spreading Love Through Service

This week, our class, in cooperation with kindergarten and first grade, turned kindness into action with a heart-filled Valentine’s Day service project created especially for the residents of Century Pines Assisted Living. Students worked together to assemble cheerful Valentine bags, filling each one with bright coloring sheets and a handmade crafty love bug.

As they created and packaged the bags, students talked about the residents who would receive them and reflected on how small, thoughtful gestures can brighten someone’s day. The project blended creativity with compassion, giving students a meaningful opportunity to practice empathy and generosity.

Our classroom was filled with excitement as students discovered that Valentine’s Day is not just about cards and candy, but about sharing joy and building connections across generations.
