A Tasty Adventure at El Cielito Lindo

Hola!

Recently, our 3rd-grade Spanish class had an exciting field trip to a local Mexican restaurant, El Cielito Lindo. 🇲🇽 This visit was the culminating activity of our foods unit, where we explored many important topics—all in Spanish!

During our lessons, we learned about:

  • What are some healthy foods? (¿Cuáles son algunos alimentos saludables?) We discovered that fruits and vegetables are essential for a balanced diet.
  • What are the main food groups? (¿Cuáles son los principales grupos de alimentos?) We discussed the food groups: fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins, and dairy.
  • What is found in a restaurant? (¿Qué se encuentra en un restaurante?) We talked about the different elements found in a restaurant, from the menu to the table.
  • What do I need to know to order food in a restaurant? (¿Qué necesito saber para ordenar en un restaurante?) We practiced useful phrases and vocabulary that helped us make our orders in Spanish.

The students did an amazing job ordering their drinks and food completely in Spanish! It was fantastic to see their hard work pay off. 🎉

We all had a great time enjoying delicious Mexican food together, and it was a wonderful way to celebrate what we learned. Thank you to all the families for your support! 🌮

¡Hasta la próxima aventura!
