Powerful Affirmations

This week during Morning Meeting, we focused on helping others, spreading kindness, and starting each day with a positive mindset. We talked about what it means to be kind and helpful, and discussed simple ways students can support one another.

To set the tone for our morning, we listened to an affirmations song and talked about how positive words can influence how we feel and how we treat others. Afterward, students created their own personal affirmations: statements that remind them of their strengths, abilities, and the importance of kindness.

These activities helped students begin each day feeling confident, encouraged, and ready to learn. Morning Meeting continues to be a meaningful time for building community, promoting empathy, and setting students up for success through positive thinking and respectful behavior.

Some affirmations students came up with were:

“I am good at math.”

“I am powerful and creative.”

“I am smart and strong.”

“I am creative in art.”

“I am kind and helpful.”
