Flight to First ✈️

Last week, we celebrated our kindergarteners’ “Flight into first grade” during a very special end-of-year event! The evening began with a musical performance led by Ms. Taylor, where students proudly sang several songs for their families. They were excited to showcase all they had learned in music throughout the year. After the performance, each student participated in a reading of Oh, the Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss. Students memorized their individual parts ahead of time, which helped them feel confident reading aloud in front of the audience. It was such a sweet and memorable moment for everyone watching.

Once the story concluded, students received medals from Mrs. Bradley while Mrs. Vaughn and I shared personalized superlatives for each child. As their names were called, students walked across a bridge surrounded by mountains, symbolizing their growth and accomplishments throughout kindergarten. Overall, the evening was filled with smiles, excitement, and pride. It was a truly memorable celebration that highlighted how much each student has grown this year and the bright futures that await them in first grade.
