Measurement 🖍️

Recently, students have been exploring measurement through fun, hands-on learning experiences. Last week, we practiced using rulers to measure objects in inches and learned how to carefully line up a ruler for accurate measuring. Students also explored nonstandard measurement tools, such as cubes, crayons, links, and large erasers, to measure a variety of items around the classroom.

During these activities, students worked collaboratively to measure objects around the room and compare their lengths. To make learning even more engaging and silly, students measured paper mustaches using rulers! These interactive experiences strengthened students’ understanding of measurement while encouraging teamwork, exploration, and excitement about learning new math skills.
