It is hosted on April 12th each year to celebrate the birthday of beloved author Beverly Cleary.

We celebrated in first grade by choosing some fun books and comfy spots to enjoy 20 minutes of reading to wrap up our morning. You can celebrate at home by taking some time to  read as a family this evening. Click here to learn more about DEAR Day.
