Earth’s Exciting Events Green Screen

What are some of Earth’s events that naturally happen quickly?  This was the question posed to 2nd graders.  While humans can contribute to some of these events, most are considered natural disasters.  Students were challenged to create a short video to inform others about a natural disaster.  By using the Engineering Design Process, they researched one natural disaster, learned how it happens, where it happens, and what people should do to stay safe.  They wrote a script and recorded their video in front of a green screen.  Next week they will use the Doink app on the Ipads to edit and add relevant images to their video.  I am very proud of their hard work and can’t wait to see the final product.
