Hopping Into Multiplication

This week, our second graders took their math learning to the number line! We practiced multiplication by making “jumps” to count equal groups — and our room was full of energy (and a few giggles) as we hopped along.

After solving a few problems together, students took turns making their own jumps on the board. Once the activity ended, they jumped back to their seats like frogs!  It was the perfect mix of movement, math, and fun — a great way to see how multiplication really works.

Our students are multiplying their skills (and their smiles) every day!
