Our students recently brainstormed what they consider the best inventions ever, and after plenty of discussion and lively debate, their top three choices emerged: cars, TVs, and microwaves. Each invention sparked great conversation—how cars changed the way people travel, how televisions brought stories and news into our homes, and how microwaves made cooking faster and easier.

This activity is part of our ongoing study of inventors, inventions, and engineers, as we learn how creative thinking and problem-solving shape the world around us. Students are beginning to see that every invention starts with curiosity and a need to improve life.

We’re excited to build on this momentum as we head toward our Innovation Expo in February 2026, where students will showcase their own ideas, designs, and creations. Who knows—maybe one of their future inventions will make someone’s “top three” someday!
