On Monday, Springfield Firefighters visited with our class about fire safety at home. Students were encouraged to create “two” exit plans from their room at home, and to talk with their family about a safe “meeting place” outside if they needed to evacuate in case of fire or smoke. They participated in a True/False quiz about fire safety and were encouraged to check smoke alarms at home. Firefighters  reminded us that we (parents) can call any local fire station if we need free smoke alarms installed in our homes.
