Sound Experiment

Students conducted this sound experiment before the break! They created their own rubber band guitars and discovered different sounds they could make. They used varying widths of rubber bands on the tissue boxes to determine how the sound would change. They learned that different string characteristics affected the vibrations produced, in turn affecting the sound they heard. Students have an impressive ability to grasp more complex scientific concepts in the Heat, Sound, and Light unit we completed!
