Third Grade Update

This week in third grade..

ERB: They finished up ERB testing on Tuesday, thank you all for providing snacks to keep them going!

Math: Fractions! Students have been practicing how to create number lines with fractions and graph points on them. They also started practicing how to identify equivalent fractions using fraction strips.

Social studies: We wrapped up the unit on Missouri government by practicing important terms and concepts on Kahoot! then did a check to see what students know. We previewed the upcoming science unit: Missouri plants and animals. They are excited for it!

Writing/reading: They learned how to identify types of figurative language and had some funny ideas for coming up with their own. They discovered how often they use hyperboles in everyday life. We also reviewed informative text features. We’re close to halfway through Little House on the Prairie.

Enjoy the break and we will see you next week!
