All month long, our 5th grade Spanish class has been celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in a special way! Each student was assigned an important Hispanic person from history who has made positive contributions to our society.
The students worked hard on a pennant biography project. First, they researched their assigned person to learn interesting facts. Then, they wrote and edited a rough draft to organize their information. Finally, they created a beautiful final draft pennant where they shared fun and important facts about their person—and got to show off their coloring skills too!
This project guided students through a step-by-step process, strengthening their research, writing, and creative skills while deepening their understanding of the important contributions of Hispanic heritage to our society.
Tomorrow, we are excited for the students to present their pennant biographies to their classmates and celebrate all the amazing people we’ve learned about!
We are so proud of the effort and enthusiasm everyone has shown during this project. 🎉🇪🇸
