π April 22 – Celebrating Earth Day! π±
Happy Earth Day, families! This morning, our Early Learners jumped into some out-of-this-world learning as we celebrated the beautiful planet we call home.
We started our day with a calming and creative Earth Day tracing, writing, and coloring activity. The kids loved practicing their fine motor skills while thinking about how we can take care of the Earth – like recycling, planting trees, reducing waste and turning off lights when we leave a room!
π We read Little Critter: Itβs Earth Day, a sweet story that helped us understand the importance of making eco-friendly choices in a way young minds can relate to.
π₯ This launched us to also learn about Outer Space and Earth – perfect for sparking awe and curiosity about planets. Itβs always fun to zoom out and see our planet from a new perspective!
π¨ For our Earth Day craft, we made beautiful Coffee Filter Earths, complete with watercolor effect and love. We also added some reading and writing practice and a color-by-numbers Earth-themed worksheet for a bit of educational fun.

Early learners took their Earth Day lessons outdoors by helping tidy up our backyard. They picked up litter around the play area and moved small limbs to our stick piles. ~Mrs. Beard
