We had another amazing animal opportunity this week! Last week was interacting with Lief, our unofficial mascot pup at The Summit. This week, it was a visit from two animals from the Dickerson Zoo!
We got to discuss animals needs such as food, water and shelter. We also discussed different habitats that animals live in such as desserts and rain forests. Then we got to meet and pet two animals: a hissing cockroach and a ring necked dove. It was so fun to observe and pet these animals!
We will have another chance to participate in this experience again in January. For now, ask your kids lots of questions about the day; they couldn’t stop talking about it all week at school, and they will love to share with you, too!
