All Things J

We’ve done a lot this week inspired by the letter Jj. Here are just a few activities:

J is for Jellyfish

Students engaged in a dance and pretended to be jellyfish, created their own jellyfish, and listened to book titled Peanut Butter and Jellyfish

J is for PB&J

Inspired by the title of our read aloud Peanut Butter and Jellyfish, we reviewed several letters by matching upper and lowercase letters.

J is for Jolly Ranchers

We did several activities involving Jolly Ranchers. These included sorting and graphing by color as a whole class, as well as rolling a dice and counting our total in small groups.

J is for Jumping

With the colder temperatures, we’ll take any opportunity to incorporate movement indoors! Today we read a book called Let’s Jump, and then moved into the art room to participate in an obstacle course that involved jumping and ducking. We even pretended we were ninjas at one point. Students had so much fun with this!
