Hola, Clase, Hola, Clase

¡Hola, hola!

Every day, Early Learners have Spanish with Señora Raven for 20 minutes. On their first day, we sang our “Hola, clase” song and we sing this at the start of every class. This helps our brain make the switch over from English to Spanish. We discussed what it means to be a good friend. We learned “amigo” (friend), “hola” (hello), “buenos días” (good morning), “buenas tardes” (good afternoon), and “buenas noches” (good night). We learned the question ¿Cómo te llamas? which means “What’s your name?” and have been taking turns answering with: Me llamo ________ (My name is __________).We also have been getting some wiggles out with the ABC marching song and have been changing the speed of our marching, from despacio (slow), normal, and rápido (fast).

Each Friday, Early Learners will explore a country that will change each trimester. The first country we will observe is Mexico! We identified where it is on a globe as well as colored an outline of the country. We will continue to learn about Mexico through stories, songs, activities and lots of repetition!

¡Hasta luego!
