We’ve had an exciting and very busy week in Early Learners!  Our letter of the week is Vv and each day our students started their day with answering a question that included a word that begins with Vv!  Some of the questions included the words vegetables, vowels, visit, vacation and van.

Today we reviewed the letters of the alphabet by writing them down on our white board as I said them.  Early Learners were so excited and confident as they quickly wrote each letter.  They did a great job recalling each one!

This week we also focused on the life cycle of the lady bug.  We had a little fun with this by reading the Eric Carle book, ‘The Grouchy Lady Bug.’  Our students were shocked with how angry and rude this lady bug was toward her friends.  We discussed what makes us grouchy and angry at times and what we can do to help the situation.

After our morning work was complete, we went outside for our farewell picnic for our sweet friend Nell!  The students in the Blue Room joined us for an hour of fun and lunch!  We topped it off with yummy cupcakes provided by our classroom reps!  We all had such a good time!  Weather turned out great and our students showed lots of love and kindness toward Nell and one another.   We truly have such a sweet bunch of Early Learners!

Have a wonderful weekend and we’ll see you next Tuesday! ~Mrs. M.
