Chicks on the Run

Early Leaners Yellow had a very busy day with two special visitors. Our first visitor was Kim, Antonia’s grandma, who came to speak to the children about running marathons, which ties into our topics on Physical Motion and Exercise. She brought all her metals and race bibs. The students were excited to put the metals on and pose for pictures.

Our next visitor of the day was Riggs’s mom and grandma who brought baby chicks to visit. We have been reading about how chicks feathers have many different colors and how their feathers change color as they mature. The students had many questions like: “Do chickens have ears?” and “How do roosters know when it is time to crow in the morning?”

Keep on running…Mrs. Murphy
