Cooperative Play is key to building a class family. In a mixed age preschool, it fosters vital social skills like empathy, communications, and conflict resolution. The older children learn patience and leadership skills while the younger ones learn from their more experienced peers. This collaborative environment also builds confidence, enhances creativity. and promotes adaptable problem-solving skills as children work together to achieve shared goals in a fun, engaging way. It creates an environment where making a mistake is just another opportunity for growth.

This week we will begin doing some baseline assessments on Early Learners Yellow. These assessments serve as foundational tools for understanding each child’s developmental progress and learning needs. They help us identify a child’s strengths and as well as areas that need continued focus.
Several parents have asked what they can do at home to help prepare their child for preschool. Here are a few ideas:
Read: Reading is the foundation for all learning. Reading is one of the most important contributions you can make to your child’s education.
Practice Writing: Let your child help with the grocery list, make “To-do” lists, sign birthday cards, etc. Show then that writing is a from of communication and that you write for a variety of reasons.
Make Math a Part of Everyday Life: Cooking, gardening, and grocery shopping are all great ways to help your child use and understand math.
Keep on learning,
