Cooking with Kids

As a child, I enjoyed making homemade cinnamon rolls with my grandma. There is nothing quite like the delicious aroma that brings back the nostalgia of Saturdays with grandma. I hope to pass that feeling onto my students.

Cooking with children can:

  • Build basic math skills
  • Broaden their palate
  • Explore their senses
  • Help them gain a sense of accomplishment

This week we made pumpkin muffins, in honor of the letters Mm and Pp.

Early Learners Yellow enjoyed doing yoga outside, with Mrs. Stewart, on the Big Backyard deck.

The students were excited to play their own instruments in music class with Mrs. Taylor.

Mrs. Walter, the Art teacher, did a project painting with Q-tips, to help Early Learners develop fine motor skills.

Enjoy your last weekend of summer!
