A Dot, Not a Lot!

While reading Glue Is on Strike, our class had some fun learning about something we will use often in our classroom, liquid school glue! This silly book gave us a great opportunity to talk about what happens when we squeeze too hard and use too much glue and why it’s important to use just the right amount.

We practiced the basics of using school glue safely and neatly. Students learned how to open and close the bottle, hold it carefully, and most importantly, how much glue to use.

Our classroom reminder is simple: “A dot, not a lot!” We practiced putting small dots of glue on our projects instead of squeezing out a big puddle. Using just a little glue helps our projects dry faster, keeps our work neat, and makes our glue last longer!
