The Library Station

Today, our class took a field trip to The Library Station’s train-themed children’s area, and it was nothing short of wonderful! The students were immersed in a world of transportation, enjoying interactive read-alouds filled with stories about all kinds of vehicles. They solved transportation-themed riddles and even sang “The Wheels on the Bus,” complete with hand motions, making the lesson both educational and fun.

After their structured activities, the Adventurers had the freedom to discover all the incredible offerings of the library. The train play structure was a favorite, turning imaginations into reality as they pretended to be conductors. The play bakery and educational toys provided endless entertainment and learning opportunities. Of course, the heart of the library—the books—drew many curious eyes and eager hands. Students also went on a scavenger hunt to solve a mystery message.

We are incredibly grateful to the library and its dedicated librarians who led such a memorable visit. This field trip was a great way to reflect on the transportation unit and to appreciate a valuable place within our community.
