The kindergarteners did an awesome job during the “Flight to First” ceremony last week. They sang the songs they learned in music with energy and enthusiasm. Following their performance, each student confidently walked up to the front to recite their part for the abridged reading of “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss. It was heartwarming to see their smiles and hear their voices fill the room.
A highlight of the ceremony was when students accepted their medals and “flew” over the mountains with self-assurance as their accomplishments and unique contributions to their class were announced. This moment celebrated their interests and the positive impact they have had on their peers and teachers. With the foundation they have built in Kindergarten, there’s no doubt that they will continue to soar and achieve great things in the coming years.
