LAD Spelling Bee

Summit first graders will have the opportunity to compete in the Language Arts Department (LAD) of Southwest Missouri Spelling Bee this April.  Following LAD rules, we will send one student representative from our first grade class to participate. Partnering with 2nd grade, a preliminary spelling bee will be conducted at school, and a winner as well as alternates will be determined for our class.  Additional information for our informal classroom spelling bee will be sent in the coming weeks. While all students will be asked to participate in this classroom bee, participation at the LAD Spelling Bee is entirely optional.  For more information, including lists of words to practice, please click on the following LAD Spelling Bee Information.
