Wrapping up yoga

It is hard to believe that this school year is almost over.  With our year winding down, I wanted to say that it has been such a pleasure teaching your child yoga.  I look forward to seeing their beautiful faces again next year.  Our final yoga class is May 10th where I will be sending yoga mats home. Please clean them one final time before storing for the summer (or hopefully you’ll use them).

To finish up the year, we are reading a book called “Mindful Me” by Whitney Stewart.  The first several chapters talked about what mindfulness was, why it is important and how to do a basic breath meditation.  The remaining chapters discuss emotions, thoughts and actions, and how some of these can lead to anxiety or restlessness and how mindfulness can help.

Don’t forget- the Color Dash will happen again this year on the last day of school.  We have some exciting new additions to the day that I hope your child will really enjoy.
