Rock Walk

Today 3rd graders brought in their favorite rocks to show off during our in-class rock walk! There were many cool kinds of fossils, minerals, and rocks! After taking time to look at all the cool rocks our classmates brought in, we talked about the different types and how to tell each kind of rock from another. One student brought in a geode to crack open! That was a lot of fun, though we learned that you are not always going to have a hollow geode. We then had the opportunity to talk about how geodes are formed!
