Next week is our last week before spring break! Students have a lot of new and exciting learning to look forward to. See below for the agenda:
Math:
Students will continue to work with shapes and their attributes. This week they will specifically focus on geometric concepts such as identifying types of lines and angles, and using a protractor.
Social Studies:
Students will learn more about Missouri’s history, put together an updated timeline of what they have learned thus far, and start researching a famous Missourian for their next project!
Spelling:
We finally have time for a new spelling week! The past two partial weeks students have been practicing their grammar skills in place of spelling.
Reading:
Students will delve further into the topic of text features and learn how to distinguish between them. i.e. problem/solution, compare/contrast, sequencing, etc.
We have also started to read a new novel as a class: Little House on the Prairie!
Writing:
Students will continue to work on LAD fair entries, with a goal of quality and quantity of work to enter into the contest. They may use writings from this school year and complete new ones. I know they’re so excited to enter their pieces!
Have a great weekend and we will see you next week!
