First Day is in the Books!

Welcome back to school!  And welcome to The Summit’s 2022-2023 5th grade class!

It was a wonderful day full of scavenger hunting, going over school and classroom guidelines/procedures, organizing class materials, and getting-to-know-you activities like a summer-break-themed “Two Truths and a Lie” game.  The 5th graders had Art, Spanish, and PE in addition to time in the fifth grade classroom.  The kids loved getting into new and returning routines like getting to eat in the commons with the 3rd and 4th graders and recess games!

Tomorrow, the 5th graders will go to Music class for the first time this year.  We will also have our first Morning Meeting, spend more time playing getting-to-know-you games, and set up our classroom Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Today was a wonderful start to the school year!  Looking forward to another great day (and more pictures!) tomorrow!
