Week of 4/29 – 5/3

It’s a big week!  We’re looking forward to Grandfriends’ Day and the Spring Concert tomorrow and a late start day on Wednesday.

Writing: Fictional narratives.

Reading: Finishing up the Literary Newspapers.

Spelling/Grammar: It’s our last spelling week! Spelling check on Friday.

Science: We are working on the Zoo Project.  The focus for this week is research.  Students are learning about their biomes and animals that live there.  Students will also be creating an imaginary animal this week.

Social Studies: We are learning about the Middle and Southern British Colonies.

Math: We are plotting patterns on a coordinate plane.  We will also be playing with tessellations.  The last math check of the year will be early next week.
