Saving Our Earth: How Students Can Make a Difference with 3D Printing

How are humans impacting the Earth and its natural resources? While many of Earth’s events happen naturally, many problems are man-made. 5th graders were tasked with: How can you design an invention that helps people correct, prevent or protect Earth’s resources and environment? By going through the Engineering Design Process, they researched common problems humans are causing to the environment and some solutions that already exist. With this information, students created a 3D printed model of an invention that will help with the environmental problem that they researched.
