Week of 4/27 – 5/1

Grandfriends’ Day was a huge success! So was the concert!  It’s been a full week already, but we’ve got loads more to do…

Reading: By the end of this week, students will be working on their final reading journal of the year.  In it, they will be considering how their book fits in with our reading theme for the third trimester: “We are better when we work together.”

Writing: Students began working on their final writing assignment of the year.  Taking inspiration from the book “The Best Part of Me,” students chose a part of themselves that they like.  They have the option of writing an expository essay, a poem, or a narrative to accompany a picture.

Science: Students will learn about how life is classified this week.

Math: We began our final unit of the year on ratios and rates.
