5th grade yoga

Hello and welcome to 5th grade yoga.

My name is Dulsey. The students call me Miss D. I’m excited to teach your student again as I enter my 7th year at the Summit teaching children’s yoga.

For my 5th grade students this year, we will spend a lot of time breaking down common poses into more depth. We will also learn more about breathing techniques, the basics of the human body and which poses use which muscles the most. We will eventually split into groups and each group will custom design their own yoga class to present at a future date. Last year we presented these to families at the end of the year celebration, and my hope is to do the same this year. The students love to showcase their work and yoga is no exception.

If you ever need anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out. My email is dstewart@thesummitprep.org
