Project Based Learning

It takes a lot of skills to complete a group project! To create this poster on the internal structure of the Earth, students will employ skills in:

using guidelines to identify tasks and goals
creating to-scale diagrams (including dividing by powers of 10, which we learned in math last week!)
using a string as a compass to create even, concentric circles
using reliable books and videos to gather information
reading, summarizing, and analyzing articles about Earth’s interior
creating charts, bullet points, and labels to clearly convey researched information
making a plan with a group, dividing up tasks, and identifying and using teammates’ strengths
using patience, compromising, listening, and communicating skills to collaborate with teammates
creating a visually interesting, clear, and well-organized poster
