Week of 4/14 – 4/18

This week is a short one – Thursday will be a half day and no school on Friday.  This is the plan for the 5th grade for this week:

Reading: Reading Groups continue.

Spelling/Grammar: Students are continuing to study homophones.

Science: We are beginning the research for our end-of year project, which revolves around the trip to the Dickerson Park Zoo.  More details to come!  Students will also be working on an informational poster about cells.

Social Studies: We are continuing to learn about Spanish, French, and Dutch colonies in the Americas.

Math: Geometry continues with lessons on classifying and finding interior angles of triangles and quadrilaterals.
