This week we’ve been learning all about our skin and how it helps protect our bodies. We also talked about ways we can protect our skin, such as wearing sunscreen, warm clothes in the winter, and safety gear like knee pads, elbow pads, and helmets when riding bikes. We learned that sometimes our skin gets hurt and we need to protect our “ouchies,” and we can do that with bandages. The students practiced opening bandage wrappers and applying bandages on their own. They were very proud of their independence and especially enjoyed using bandages with fun, colorful designs!
