Our Brain

Continuing with our trimester theme of learning about our body, today we learned about the brain! It works as our body’s control center, is about the size of two of our fists, and it sends and receives messages to and from our body to help us move, think, feel, and remember. It controls things we do on purpose, like talking and walking, and things we don’t even have to think about like breathing and blinking. Students enjoyed playing some brain themed games as well, which included a version of pin the tail on the donkey called pin the brain. Another included brain says (like simon says), which helped us practice listening and paying attention.
