Day Of Play! Thursday Feb. 2nd

We had a fantastic morning upstairs in the Elementary area of the Summit!  Every classroom was turned into ‘Stations’!  There was a classroom filled with materials for the students to create art in anyway they wanted.  There was paint, markers, crayons, scissors, glitter, glue, drawing paper, construction paper, yarn and pipe cleaners!  The students loved being able to draw, cut and create all kinds of artwork!

Another classroom was filled with every type of building block you could imagine.  Students stacked, snapped, and put together a variety of manipulatives to create amazing buildings and structures!  They worked with familiar friends and with students they just met.  That classroom was filled with great conversation while they worked together, laughter and fun!

One classroom was filled with puzzles, another filled with books and another classroom was for dramatic play!  Sensory tables filled with rice and flour were a big hit for students of all ages!

For a little exercise, there was an entire area for music and movement!  That room was a favorite for many.  The room was filled with large exercise mats, trampoline, hula-hoops, jump ropes, balls and so much more!

Our Early Learners rotated to every station available.  Each of them had the opportunity to experience all the wonderful ways to play!
