Welcome Back to school!  It is so good to see our Early Learners (and parents!) We missed them!  I hope you had a good Spring Break!  We had a great morning together! We started our day by exercising our cutting skills then we moved on to our writing journals where our students eagerly drew pictures of what they did on their Spring Break!  Then each student had the opportunity to share what they did, where they went and who they saw!  They were so excited to share and talk with their friends.  There was a lot of excitement and laughter in our classroom today!

Welcome Back Mrs. West!!  Mrs. West has finally returned from her fabulous 3 week cruise!!  She has so much to share that we decided to give her time each day to tell us about her trip and share the many pictures she took!  Our Early Learners were very happy to see Mrs. West in school today!  They drew pictures, signed a banner and gave her flowers to welcome her back!

Today is the first day of Spring!  We had a wonderful discussion about what the season of Spring is, what changes we will begin to see outside and how plants grow.  With paper and clipboard in hand, we took a walk outside and identified what changes are occurring that tell us it is Spring.  Our students were asked to draw as many changes they could find. The title of their paper is, ‘I Can See Spring’.  Some students noticed buds on the trees, blossoms white and purple.  Others noticed flowers beginning to bloom and the grass turning green!
