Friday March 22nd in Early Learners!

Our students had a great day today!  Our classroom was buzzing with excitement as they moved from center to center exploring all things that begin with the letter Qq!  Early Learners continued painting with Q-tips and after demonstrating a hand-made quilt and how it was made, our Early Learners cut several strips of paper of all colors to create their own paper Quilt!  Mrs. West and I were amazed at how precise they were in placing each piece.  Our students created beautiful patterns and designs!

Today, was a special day at the Summit!  A second grade student, Eleanor Ballard, along with her assistant Sophia Sotella, earned the opportunity to be Head Of School For The Day!!  Eleanor is Shepherd’s sister.  He was a very proud brother today!  As Head of School, Eleanor was able to make a few changes in the school’s schedule.  Eleanor came up with the idea of a free dress day where students and teachers could dress like someone famous!  We had lots of celebrities walking around our school today!  She also came to our classroom this morning and read a Dr. Seuss book.

Then to everyone’s excitement, Eleanor planned a special All School Dance Party!  The dance party took place in our Summit backyard at 3:00 today.  All Summit students enjoyed great music, dancing and playing with friends!  It was a great way to end this week!

Have a great week-end!  ~Mrs. Michaliszyn
