Tuesday April 9th in Early Learners: T as in Texture!

Today was a terrific Tuesday in Early Learners!!  Our letter of the week is Tt so everything was terrific today!

Our Art teacher, Mrs. Dalton took our Early Learners outside during art and taught them a lesson on texture!!  She talked about how some objects are smooth, some are bumpy, and others are rough.  She then directed our students to choose an object in the playground, place a sheet of paper down and rub it with crayon.  Our students watched first hand how the different objects looked very different on their paper.  They experimented with trees, picnic tables, the side walk, and trash cans!  They were fascinated by what they saw on their papers!  The different textures made different lines and shapes on their papers! They loved this activity!
