Friday Update: Feb. 20th

Happy Friday!
It’s been a crazy (short!) week but we had a great time. It is hard to believe that today is the last day of 2nd trimester!

Thursday we tried our best to get back in the school groove and enjoyed centers, finished our long awaited Number Books, and did some awesome journaling about what happened during the snow days. I was glad to hear that many of my little friends were out shoveling the driveway and cleaning their rooms. Nice work!

Today, we had a special guest teacher in our classroom for the morning. Miss Paige joined us from Middle School to job shadow Mrs. Kimmons. Paige is interested in becoming a Kindergarten teacher when she grows up and one of the cool activities in middle school is that the students are encouraged to go out and try careers they are interested in. Of course, the Kindergarten friends loved having her with us! I would gladly retire one day and pass my class on to Paige!

Enjoy what looks like it might be another great weekend to stay inside and snuggle.

See you next week!
Mrs. Kimmons

P.S. If anyone happens to have an extra stapler at home we would love to have it in Kindergarten! Ours is not being a team player!
