Eli is our Star of the Week this week. His poster is decorated with pictures and features his excellent handwriting. He wants to be a police officer when he grows up! He also shared that he is really good at climbing. Eli brought many things from home to share with us, including a couple of sports medals and a ribbon, a remote control car, and a book about reptiles! Great job Eli!! I will let you know when it is time for your child to be our Star of the Week.
I’m sure you’ve all heard the news, but Rudy Raven the gerbil is visiting our Kindergarten classroom right now! Rudy loves to exercise on his running wheel, hide in his purple igloo, and climb up and down the tube. We love observing his movements.
We’ve also started to study 3D shapes (Solid Figures) in Kindergarten. Your child will use their knowledge of solid figures while starting construction of our Urban Community! This week we have learned a poem about solid figures, made a chart about the sides and real life examples, and explored each figure by tracing its sides. Later today we are going to begin sorting the figures according to whether they can roll, slide, or stack.
